bottlers note: Aroma: Torfiger und ungetorfter spirit reifte zunächst auf den starken Fundamenten der amerikanischen rye casks, gefolgt von einer zweiten Reifung in Pedro Ximénez und Oloroso sherry quarter casks, veströmt der malt pfeffrige Würze, getrocknete Rosinen und einen Hauch von Vanille mit einem Nachklang von anhaltender salziger Schokolade und einem leichten Hauch von aromatischem Holzrauch.


Ausbau: matured in American rye casks with a second 9 months maturation in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry quarter casks

Besonderheit: non chill-filtered, natural colour, limited release 14000 Flaschen.

Peated and unpeated spirit matured first in the strong foundations of our American rye casks with a second maturation in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry quarter casks, this whisky exudes peppery spice, dried sultanas and hints of vanilla with a finish of lingering salty chocolate and a light hint of aromatic wood smoke.

Introducing Dùn Cana – Sherry Quarter Cask Release, a new whisky encompassing the prowess of Raasay’s mighty volcanic mountain. 66 million years in the making, we’re delighted to introduce this new release into our single malt range.
An annual release with each edition offering slight points of difference in cask composition or age. Limited in quantity and available globally, with the First Edition only 14,000 bottles worldwide (5,000 in UK). 52% abv, natural colour and non-chill filtered.
