Charakteristik:
bottlers note: Farbe: Poliertes Kupfer mit einem tiefen Schimmer von Erntegold.
Aroma: Ein Tanz von Seville Blutorangen und Morello Kirschen, mit tiefer reifer Gerste, gerösteten Kastanien und winterlich gewürztem Kakau.
Geschmack: Süße Vancia Orangen und Morello Kirschen, mit rollenden Wellen von reifer Gerste. Während das Aroma tiefer wird, dunkle Johannisbeeren, Pralinee-Toffee und erdige Brombeeren.
Im Nachklang ein reiches befriedigendes, anhaltendes finish von mit Orange aromatisiertem Tabak und gemahlenem Muskat.
Ausbau: Matured in the finest Oloroso and Pedro Ximinez Spanish oak casks
Besonderheit: non chill-filtered, natural colour - bei 43%.
Im März 2018 angekündigt, im Sommer 2018 erschienen der Glendronach 10 Jahre Forgue, der zusammen mit dem GlenDronach 16 Jahre Boynsmill, erschienen im Mai 2019, die travel retail range bildet.
Wie der Glendronach Original auch non-chill filtered, natural colour und mit 43% abgefüllt.
2008 kam GlenDronach in die Hände von Billy Walker und wurde Teil der BenRiach Distilling Company. Befreit vom Joch des Großkponzerns - zumindest vorübergehend wie man heute weiß.
"Independent ownership now gives us the freedom to rekindle the reputation of GlenDronach as the distiller of richly sherried single malt whiskies of inimitable and individual character. It's a reputation that has travelled worldwide - to those in the know, it's a well kept secret. The team at GlenDronach have set out on a journey to bring GlenDronach back to life. In April this year (2009) the famous 12, 15 and 18 year-olds will be re-launched, creating the GlenDronach Core Range." Weiter heißt es " It will also release a non-aged product, single cask bottlings and some rare vintage malts."

Benannt ist der malt nach dem Forgue valley, wo der Gründer James Allardice seine distillery baute und sie GlenDronach nannte, was ‘Valley of the brambles’ in Scots Gaelic bedeutet, Tal der Brombeeren.
